Palm Beach County Clerk of Court
The Clerk of the Circuit Court as mandated by the Constitution of 1838, functions as the public trustee of the County. As such, the Clerk performs the check and balance entity for the board of county commissioners, as required by the County Government. This provision of the Constitution is endemic to all Counties that include the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court.
The Palm Beach County Clerk of Court, acting in his capacity, serves as the Clerk to the Board, Clerk to the Court, Keeper of the Public Records, Comptroller and Internal Auditor of county funds and ensures as well that county funds are properly accounted for and that the allocation of the funds intended for public service need are religiously met. Moreover, the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court performs Constitutional and Statutory duties for the trial courts as keeper of the records and pleadings that are filed in court. The Clerk of Court also serves as the recorder of deeds, custodian of county funds and county auditor

The Palm Beach County Clerk of Court is a constitutional officer elected by the voters of Palm Beach County by way of a direct election to a four-year term. The current Clerk of Court is serving her first term.
