Palm Beach Garden is a city established in 1959 by John MacArthur; a wealthy land owner. It was his plan to develop 4000 acres into a city that could call 55,000 people home. His first choice of name, Palm Beach City, was denied by the state of Florida, so he settled on Palm Beach Garden due to the amount of gardens he wanted to be built in the city.
