The Bradley Park Hotel

April 24th, 2007

Well we booked a room at the The Bradley Park Hotel in West Palm Beach Florida last summer, and it was an unknown.  We’d heard it was good from a few people we knew but we had no idea what we were in store for.  This hotel is grand.  Beyond grand.  I have been to West palm Beach before but I never stayed here – now I plan to go back next summer and stay at this exact location.  Being in home business lets me take more time off than other people I know while living comfortably, so I am able to travel as much as I do.  We got there mid-day after our plane had landed in Miami and we fought the roads.  The entire hotel is grand, it is clean, and it is very very graceful.

It was right there close to the shopping and the restaurants, it was also close to performing arts centers and golf courses (where I broke my nine) and the service there was great.  The beds were huge, soft, and comfortable, better than my own bed!  The food that was served at the hotel was absolutely awesome, it was like going on vacation – wait I WAS on vacation.  The TV was massive and had a DVD player, I could check my email since they had high-speed, and it even had a kitchen.  Let me say that again.  It even had a kitchen.  I was able to go down to their shop and buy some gourmet stuff I liked, keep it in the small freezer box in my room, prepare and eat it without the hassle of going to a restaurant.  The room had allot of placed to sit and relax, a great air conditioning system for the summer and it made my stay absolutely wonderful.

Crowne Plaza Hotel

April 24th, 2007

Well we finally took our vacation to West Palm Beach! Miami Florida was wonderful, and so was the travel there, and I cannot tell you how fabulous the Crowne Plaza Hotel was!  It is actually right out on the ocean front on an island, Singer Island! It was one of the best hotels I have stayed in!  I couldn’t believe the pool and don’t get me started on how nice everyone was! It had its own beach, and its pool was perfect – the kids loved the beach and so did I.  It came with a huge TV and a king sized bed!  It also had a balcony that was right out facing the ocean, they even had video games to keep the rug rats entertained!  The hotel really made our vacation to West Palm Beach a great one, I mean, come on!  A hotel with a huge lush area, a beach, everything you needed right there makes any vacation worthwhile!

It was really close to Palm beach and West palm Beach, the airport was close by so when we got there it wasn’t too far to drive to it, the staff was really friendly when we got lost (the hotel is huge!) and also the room service was beyond compare!  We were close to all the restaurants and all the golf courses we could ever want, along with all the other things you could ever imagine!  From the moment you enter the lobby you get to see all kinds of luxury, everything is shiny and clean, the guest area has these huge couches and really cool chairs.  Our room also had a couch and was exceptionally clean.  The fish entree dinner was excellent.  There’s so much I could write about it, it would fill the whole page!  If you’re taking a vacation to West Palm Beach you HAVE to stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel!

Holiday Inn

April 24th, 2007

On our vacation to West Palm Beach, we had planned to stay in a hotel in Miami Florida – however we ended up at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel by Juno Beach.  We enjoyed our stay there for our vacation to Florida to see Miami and West Palm Beach along with visiting Orlando to see Universal Studios and Disney World.  We had to chose this hotel because there weren’t any other Miami hotels that allowed pets, and we had brought our 100 lb German Shepherd with us. The trip through Florida having had to travel from Georgia to get to the right hotel was one heck of an experience – we stopped too many times for my liking.  The hotel however was a nice place to rest and relax after that trip.

The hotel was close enough to West Palm Beach that I didn’t have to worry about staying out too late, and I didn’t worry about the kids going off and shopping (it’s not like they’re 12 anymore anyways, they never like to bring Dear old Dad along nowadays).  The room service was prompt, and they had a good breakfast.  The beds were clean, the rooms were nice, the view was good and the pool was good.  I’d say this is one of the better hotels I have stayed at since I have been traveling for business sales most my life. They also had highspeed internet for my laptop which was very good, since I can’t stay away from my inbox too long or else it fills up to capacity. If you’re ever in a pinch this one is great because they allowed old Bogo to stay in our room with us – I would rather sleep in a car than board him.  He also enjoyed the vacation as much as I did since I was able to take him to the beach and let him swim – I think he liked West palm Beach more than my wife did.

Biba Hotel Review

April 22nd, 2007

Well, we went on a vacation to West Palm Beach – but there were hardly any vacancies.  Luckily for me I had a friend of a friend (you know how that goes) that recommended that for my vacation to West Palm Beach in Florida I should stay at the Biba Hotel.  I thought it was a weird name and such, and figured that I would end up with a lemon.  To the contrary this hotel was very good – it is even a registered historical landmark, although not actually in West Palm Beach it is so close I didn’t need to use the rental car at all.  The hotel staff was very friendly and helped to make my stay in West Palm Beach very enjoyable.  None of the hotels in Miami or anywhere else seemed as nice as this one to me – I love historic buildings.  The food is great, and they even have a bar (which I also reviewed).

First off, the pool is glorious, it is very large and nice.  The gardening around the building is extremely pleasing, with all kinds of wonderful decor – inside there is a staircase with a wonderful chandelier to greet you.  Amazing design really – apparently it had been renovated recently so that is why it seemed to be so fresh for such a historic building.  The rates for such a great hotel were very very reasonable, and room service was prompt!  The beds were plush and great, this is one of the BEST places to stay in West Palm Beach when you’re visiting Florida or the surrounding areas – I haven’t stayed at a better hotel since.  I was able to visit Miami and considered a hotel there for a while, but i just liked this jewel in West Palm Beach more.  Overall this made my travel there very good, and I enjoyed it very much.

Palm Beach Winter Travel

April 21st, 2007

We just got back from a winter vacation to Palm Beach, and let me tell you what, it was one of the best Travel experiences we have ever had! West Palm Beach was an absolute dream come true, a living paradise that I haven’t seen since our other vacation five years ago to Maui. Palm Beach Florida has an awesome amount of things to do, and it is close enough that it won’t take long to get to Disney World – the kids loved that part of the trip.  Universal studios was also a blast and everyone enjoyed the trip very much – I got to relax, the kids got to pull off their greatest escapades with their mother – and she got to deal with all of it while I was out golfing!

Palm Beach is by Miami too, so that was also good.  The missus got to go shopping all day for three of the days we were there, I got to cry at the receipts over a brandy too – but that’s not the fault of Palm Beach.  I drowned my sorrows over that in the vibrant culture and night life there, also taking the kids around to travel to the actual beaches in West Palm Beach – which were excellent and clean.  There weren’t any problems in the water either, it wasn’t cold and it was pretty nice to swim in at the time – although as soon as we got there the missus wanted to leave to break my checkbook in half some more. We did get to see an alligator – but that was when we went further south east to the Everglades area.  Palm Beach is probably one of the nicest places in Florida, and Palm Beach beats Miami in overall beauty, the location is absolutely superb.  The hotel was nice, the people were friendly, and the shopping was pretty gosh darn good.

Palm Beach wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be, considering the winter is a very popular time to go somewhere warm.  We drove there from what has to be the coldest darn state anyone could live in in the continental US.  North Dakota down through Texas to the 40, and then two days longer and we reached the Florida state line.  It was like the entire sky opened up and it became sunny in five minutes – it having been a cloudy and snowy trip.  We didn’t plan our timing too well and the snow slowed us down as we made a B-line south to escape it. Travel with four kids, a wife who doesn’t stop running her mouth about her sister, and having to deal with the snow isn’t very fun – next time I plan to book a flight for them and take a separate plane.  West Palm Beach let me relax though, and you’d bet it would be stressful with all of them there, but it wasn’t.  Palm Beach Florida has to be the best place to unwind and let loose, I plan on going back there a few years from now when we can afford it again.
